REINTJES Gearbox

WVSA Series

240 – 1540  |  500 – 4,900 kW

Down-angle reverse-reduction gearboxes for fast vessels. Beveloid gears angle the output shaft 8–10° downward, lowering the power train and shrinking the engine room — with the high power-to-weight ratio and quiet running of the WVS series.

Key Advantages

Lower the Power Train, Shrink the Engine Room

Built on the proven WVS platform, the WVSA down-angle gearbox angles the output shaft 8–10° downward with beveloid gears — freeing designers to install the engine horizontally while reducing overall engine room height for new builds.

High Power-to-Weight Ratio

A weight-optimised design delivers a power-speed ratio up to 2 kW/rpm, maximising output for minimum mass.

Space-Saving Down-Angle

The 8–10° down-angle lowers the power train and reduces engine-room height — crucial for new-build naval architecture.

Low Operating Noise

Optimal tooth-flank corrections, synchronised engagement, and resilient mounting absorb noise and vibration onboard.

Design Freedom

A wide reduction range of 1.5 to 4 and configurable shaft angles suit mega-yachts, patrol vessels, and crew boats alike.

Real-World Applications

Where These Gearboxes Go to Work

Patrol craft, pilot boats, and fast motor yachts demand high power-to-weight and quiet running. REINTJES fast-vessel gearboxes deliver both — in compact configurations that save space in the engine room.
