REINTJES Gearbox

WVS Series

WVS / WLS 234/1 – 430/1  |  350 – 1,400 kW

Weight-optimized reverse-reduction gearboxes engineered for fast vessels — compact dimensions, finely tuned shifting, and low operating noise for planing and semi-planing applications.

Key Advantages

Lightweight, Fast-Shifting, and Quiet

Aluminium-housed and weight-optimized, the WVS series is built for fast-vessel propulsion where every kilogram and decibel counts — from patrol boats to luxury yachts.

High Power-to-Weight Ratio

Aluminium alloy housing and case-hardened gears deliver maximum power for minimum weight, ideal for performance vessels.

Compact Dimensions

A tight footprint fits constrained engine rooms typical of fast craft, planing vessels, and yacht installations.

Finely Tuned Shifting

The "Fast Clutch" system on WVS 234–930 provides smooth, controlled engagement under demanding maneuvering.

Low Operating Noise

Helical, tooth-flank-ground gears and resilient mounting options keep onboard noise levels low for crew and guest comfort.

Specifications

WVS Reverse-Reduction Gearbox

Use the selector above to switch views. Power Ratings show kW/rpm for each reduction ratio per the REINTJES Product Guide 2026 across Medium, Light and Pleasure duty (lighter duty cycles permit higher ratings). Main Dimensions give all gearbox dimensions in millimetres for the standard (input/output on opposite sides) and U-Drive (same side) configurations; weight columns list the WVS and the WLS counter-rotation and identical-rotation versions. Dimensions and dry weights are for the standard design and are not strictly binding (subject to change). Bold ratios are standard; additional ratios, custom ratios and input speed variations are available on request.

Configurations

WVS & WLS — Matched to Your Propeller

The 234/1–430/1 range comes in two configurations: the reverse-reduction WVS gearbox for fixed-pitch propellers and the WLS reduction gearbox for controllable-pitch propellers. Both are offered with the input and output shafts on opposite sides or, in the U-drive layout, on the same side.

WVS series — reverse-reduction gearbox for fixed-pitch propeller, with input and output on opposite sides or on the same side
WLS series — reduction gearbox for controllable-pitch propeller, with input and output on opposite sides or on the same side

Real-World Applications

Where These Gearboxes Go to Work

Patrol craft, pilot boats, and fast motor yachts demand high power-to-weight and quiet running. REINTJES fast-vessel gearboxes deliver both — in compact configurations that save space in the engine room.
