REINTJES Gearbox

RDG / RDGL Series

200 – 800  |  300 – 10,000 kW

Purpose-built reduction gearboxes for dredge-pump applications — for pumps installed inboard or close-coupled underwater. Compact, reliable, and available with or without clutch (RDGL with internal hydraulic multi-disc clutch).

Key Advantages

Engineered for Dredging

The RDG series is developed specifically for dredge-pump drives — whether the pump is installed inboard or close-coupled and submerged — pairing standardised shafts with custom-built housings for each project.

High Operating Reliability

Built for the heavy, shock-laden duty of dredge pumps, with roller-bearing design and rugged housings.

Simple Operation & Maintenance

Straightforward design keeps servicing easy and downtime low across long dredging campaigns.

Compact Dimensions

Standardised shafts in custom-made housings deliver a tight, installation-friendly footprint.

One Supplier

Propulsion gearbox and dredging gearbox from a single source — backed by 80+ years of REINTJES experience.

Specifications

RDG / RDGL Dredge-Pump Gearbox

RDG / RDGL is a dredge-pump gearbox sized by engine power — reduction ratios and ratings are configured per project, so kW/rpm is not published per model. Power Ratings are approximate engine-power ranges from the REINTJES selection diagram; Main Dimensions (mm) and dry weights are from the brochure. RDGL = with internal hydraulic multi-disc clutch; RDG = without clutch. Total range 300 – 10,000 kW; larger sizes and different offsets available on request.
