GEARBOXES FOR FAST VESSELS

REINTJES gearboxes of the WVS/WLS, WVSA, ZWVS, and VLJ series have been specially designed for fast vessels with high operating demands. Gearboxes of these series have a compact, low-weight design, as well as optimal running characteristics and options. These factors make the hydraulically operated gearboxes the ideal propulsion unit, whether for fixed pitch propellers, controllable pitch propellers, or waterjets. These gearboxes were developed for use in fast naval craft, ferries, yachts, patrol vessels, and other vessels with comparably high demands.

GEARBOXES FOR DREDGING

REINTJES gearboxes of the RDG series have been specifically designed for dredging applications to handle high torque loads, to interface directly with the dredge pumps, and even operate under water if needed.

REINTJES gearboxes of the WAF/LAF, and DLG series have been specially designed for heavy duty applications in work boats, but can commonly be configured with a torque-limiting device and placed in a dredging application for an affordable solution.

HYBRID SYSTEMS

REINTJES hybrid systems are ideal for slow-speed operation and enhance the efficiency of your propulsion system as they allow for riding at a slow speed below idle speed. The electric drive ensures smooth running, less noise and low energy consumption and is becoming increasingly more important. The hybrid systems are suitable for fixed pitch propeller applications and available for electric motors from 60 ekW up to 630 ekW. The electric drive can also be used for power generation, or as a booster.

RHS

Ever increasing environmental restrictions like maneuvering operations in the harbor or in green areas with reduced or without emissions require an alternative drive solution. REINTJES developed a new, electrically driven hybrid system solution for gearboxes that provides vessels with an alternative of proceeding at reduced speed.

These hybrid systems enable a much more efficient operation, because they allow for riding at a slow speed below the main engine idle speed. The electric drive is aimed at achieving smooth running, less noise and low energy consumption and will gain still more importance. To enable easy installation, the combined electric motor and generator are already flanged to the gearbox and supplied with a frequency converter.

The hybrid systems are suitable for fixed pitch propeller applications and available for electric motors from 60ekW up to 630e­kW. The complete package comprises the gearbox and a combined electric motor and generator as well as a frequency converter in a one hand solution.

REINTJES gearboxes of the RDG series have been specifically developed for use in high-speed turbine drives for industrial applications such as power plants. Available input power rating ranges between 1,400 kW and 50,000 kW (additional ratings are available on request).
